[Patch 5.6] Clothing Engulf EXP Costs and Stats

Hey you guys, here’s all the info we have on clothing stats, upgrade costs, and engulfing worth after the Patch 5.6 update! Currently it’s a work-in-progress, but we’re hoping within the coming weeks to fill out much more!

Clothing Engulf EXP Costs and Stats

Table Notes:

Engulfing Cost is the cost to reach the NEXT Clothing Level.
Cumulative Cost is the amount of Engulfing EXP needed to reach the Clothing Level.
Level 1 for a Mage gives 1% MDEF, no PDEF. Didn’t note for the other classes, but it could also be 1% MDEF or possibly 1% PDEF (no MDEF).
Highlighted values are ones we’ve predicted from patterns in the data we know for sure.
Though the Engulfing Cost looks to increase by 200 each level after 7, after estimating the Cumulative Cost for level 200 (max level), it seemed much lower than what I imagined (a pair of level 12 wings will get you very close to level 200 if that’s the case). I suspect the increase will get steeper at some point, so I’m not putting in any predictions for the Engulfing/Cumulative Cost.
Can’t find a pattern for the increase in percentage stats yet, so I’m also waiting for hard data on those.
By the way the stats are progressing through the levels, it looks like percentage and base stat values for max clothing will be much higher after Patch 5.6, than what we currently get from all level 12 clothing and wings (480 PATK/MATK/PDEF/MDEF, 30k HP, 8% PATK/MATK/PDEF/MDEF/HP, 105 Initial Rage). The only exception is Initial Rage, which looks like it will top at 104 unless they change things at the very high levels.

Level 7 to 52: cost increase by 200 per level
Level 52 to 119: cost increase by 300 per level
Level 119 to unknown ( at least 141) cost increase by 400 per level

It’s a good idea to use Fashion Cores to level up your clothing and wings from level 1 to 2. Anything beyond this, you’re at risk losing more Engulfing EXP for the patch than you gain.

i did realize durring this last clothing event,and if we do get another clothing event before the patch it is a good idea to use luck charms to upgrade clothing,as luck charms and cores are worth the same value,by using luck charms to upgrade clothing you get back more luck charms and cores combined than you used in luck charms,plus you get clothing chests to gain more xp,if that makes since

  upgrading 2 lvl 5 clothing costs 8 luck charms and in return you get 5 cores,2 luck charms and 1 clothing chest,so for using 1600 xp worth in luck charms you gain 1700 xp worth from luck charms,cores and clothing

    This is a good point, but if you don’t have level 4s already, it’s not going to be worth it for you to make the lvl 5s.

    when i calculate it correct i get 2685800 clothing exp with it
    
    when the amount of the exp i need increase everytime by 200 i gen get to level 166
    this sounds fine.
    
    but… at the moment i get alot of clothes from close synthese event and i think this will be remooved than 🙁

    I think you’ll be in good shape regardless, but I’m pretty wary of the 200 exp increase with every level. Really doesn’t seem right for the later levels, but we’ll see, if it does remain 200 every level the top players will have it very easy. I’m also not sure how much I’m willing to engulf on the first day, in case they come up with the a different type of clothing event that will give me more stuff in return :\

    Yeah, I don’t think it will stay at 200 per level. I think once it gets to 10k, it will go up 300 per level. At 200 per level, all level 12 clothing and wings will be lots more than enough exp to make it to level 200

    You mention that a pair of level 12 wings will get you close to level 200 if it stays at 200 per level. Unless I figured something wrong, 2 level 12 wings will be lots more than enough. Staying at 200 per level, I figured you would need right at 4 million exp to reach level 200.

    2 lvl 12 wings is a little over 6.5 million exp, and is definitely overkill. I have almost no doubt it would cover whatever the actual cost ends up being.

    Lvl 200 should be get by engulfing a full lvl 12 set. Not more, nore less. A full lvl 11 set should get you to lvl 160 and a lvl 10 set should get you to lvl 100.

    The old/current clothing titles are for level 10, 11, and 12 clothes, while the new titles are at levels 100, 140, and 180 respectively.
    
    This leads me to believe, that even if you were to have a level 12 set now, engulfing them would only get you to 180 at most. That, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they ramped up the experience just to drag out the process even longer in an attempt to make more money.

Hi, thanks for your data.
Do you know how many XP will give lvl 1, and lvl 2 wings? As it costs 5 fashion cores to upgrade them from 1 to 2, I want to be sure it worthes upgrading the wings too 🙂

    The 3 clothing and 1 set of wings you’ve mentioned will get you to level 35. Please don’t single me out for requests like this on a regular basis, and open it up to the whole community to help you or figure it out yourself. I can’t make a habit of adding up all the values of people’s items.

I managed to calculated the growth rate for the clothing level experience. Still need confirmation for the higher level clothes. Remember your order of operations, and x is any given ‘level’.

EXP = 100x^2-500x+2500

    Take the 25th level for example. You have it listed at 4600 engulfing EXP, with 52,500 cumulative EXP needed total.
    
    (100*(25*25))-(500*25)+2500 = 50250
    
    To be more specific, I calculated the cumulative EXP for any given level, not the individual EXP for any given level. We can just subtract the results of the 25th level, from the 24th level, in order to get the engulfing exp of 4400.

    Yeah I was just quickly testing this against the lower numbers and it doesn’t hold for those. Still very unlikely that this holds for all 200 levels, but appreciate the effort.

    Agreed, but it was a fun thought experiment. Knowing the developers, the EXP requirements will get pretty high in the later levels.

    Ah, there it is, thanks. I usually just test the base case for things like this and it wasn’t lining up. Honestly, this is just a convoluted way of saying “add 200 each level”

    Considering there are 200 levels, I’m fine with not having 1-6 not work. I have yet to see any other places where it doesn’t line up with the provided tables.

    Considering the fact that we only have one fifth the data, if you’re coming up with a prediction, you should take into consideration all of the values given and find something that holds in all cases. If we had even half the table, I’d be more with you on this statement.

    If you can get me higher level engulf amounts, I can interpolate the data instead of extrapolating. It should provide more accurate results.

I calculated my current clothing (and stored items) and there will be a big increase in BR at the cost of half my initial rage. Not sure if I will like this system. Losing that initial rage a real downer!

  There are no pieces perse. They clothing is one set, not pieces like the old system. So you have to engulf all clothes to level your set.

  hmmm good question lol,either you wont beable to engulf it since it would not let you synth it with another piece,or could be worth figure half of lvl 1 wings so 150xp, or maybe even less like 50xp

OMG.. i just wasted my pieces.. i had more than 40 each pieces, (head.weapon.dress) and wings too. i wasted them bc i didnt have charms. now i have all L7 for equipped clothing. was afraid they will be useless next patch so i synthed them all. and i had bad luck with it -.- most of em failed

level 7 to 52: cost increase by 200 per level
level 52 to 119: cost increase by 300 per level
level 119 to unknown ( at least 141) cost increase by 400 per level

What will the clothing we get after patch be worth? Will all new clothing be considered level 1 and worth 300 exp?

Seems like what ever level you achieve at the beginning will be slow to improve upon. assuming each new outfit you aquire will only get you 2500 points (900) if you don’t buy the wing version.

correct me if im wrong should I keep my clothings at lvl 1? and save cores and charms? so far i have 40 clothing chest lvl 8 set and few lvl 5s

Quite frankly it looks like it will be nearly impossible to properly level your clothing after this patch. Unless they add some other method of gaining clothing XP, leveling will be nearly impossible. Let’s say you need to go from lvl 51 to 52. You need 4 full sets of clothes to level. But getting wings is always a pain. You are more likely to level using 34 other pieces of clothes! Utterly ridiculous! Maybe going forward the XP given will be based on quality? They will have to tweak the system as it doesn’t seem to be worth it for anyone!

Cosmos, I did some investigating and your table is off by 300 EXP.

A few months ago, I made a toon on the test server to see a previous patch, and I didn’t get it much past level 10. Level 10 is when clothing unlocks, and you used to get a free hat. When I logged in now, the hat was gone and I had level 1 clothing.

For comparison, I made a fresh toon, and when it unlocked clothing, the clothing system was level 0, requiring 300 EXP to level up. The toon got no free clothing piece, which would have been enough to exactly get to level 1, where the first toon was.

If this is correct, then the clothing EXP cumulative count you have made is off by a (small) 300 EXP, and should really include the step from level 0 to level 1.

If you want, I can email images for proof, and I also have a complete table with all the information you’re missing. It would be easier to explain how I got that in the email as well.

I thin k saw somewhere a post that with each 3 or 5 lvls you can get a free set Unidentefied to identified , is that true? And also i would like to know at what set do we identified the set that we souls get unblocking lvl 9 now ? (i would like to know the level for hat, armor weapon and wings) !

So we are being punished by the developers by lowering our initial rage. What a way to provide quality service to players who have worked hard to get their initial rage to a level where we can use it on our first turn.
