Q&A: Various Wartune Q&A: Best Sylph? Why I lose? & More

Hi everyone! I thought to make another various Wartune Q&A post to share info / knowledge to help all Wartune players. If there are other questions or feedback just post it down in the comments section for everyone to benefit from the discussion.

What is the best sylph?

Q: I’ve had a “ABC” sylph for a long time with my “CLASS”. However i’ve been considering going into “XYZ” sylph lately. Whats your thoughts or opinions? + What is the best sylph in Wartune?

A: There is no such thing as a “best sylph”. Think of sylphs as tools. Each one is good for a specific job. Therefore, for different places in Wartune you may use a different sylph. All sylphs can be categorized into 3 categories:

  • Damage dealer.
  • Healer.
  • Hybrid, i.e. a mix of the above 2, but not good at any one of those things.

There is a little more variation / fun in the single element sylphs, but in the late game they all merge into 3: Thor (damage), Frigga (healer) and Odin (hybrid).

If your resources are limited you should go for the Odin (or his line), because, being a hybrid, he can both shield/heal and dish out damage. Note that he can never be as good in either category as the “pure” sylphs, but because he has a varied range of skills he allows the player to accomplish many tasks just with one sylph.

Ultimately, once you have lots of resources, you probably want to have 3 of each. The reason: ideally 3 Odins (or 2nd choice: 3 Thors) are needed for the Time Portal. 3 Friggas are not needed at this point, that’s more ‘just in case” preparation.

Why do I lose? What is the best player setup?

Q: Other players keep beating me. What’s wrong in my configuration / setup?

A: Hi, success in Wartune comes in several parts:

  1. Playing good (example: using correct skills at correct time)
  2. Making configuration in accordance to your strategy (example: maximum damage but bad defense)
  3. Having a good internet connection + clean computer / browser so the game is running at good speed.

If you play bad, for example, then someone with lower BR can win against you even if your configuration is good.
If you do not have a strategy / plan on how you are going to kill your enemy then your enemy who has a good plan will win.

So what to do: answer these questions:

  • How do other players usually kill you?
  • They take your rage?
  • They don’t let you sylph?
  • They stun you?
  • They remove your buffs?

You have to pay attention on how you die so you can see where you are weak. Once you identify an area then you know what to fix.

(at the minimum you can make an equal chance of something (e.g. stun) as your enemy has)

New Events?

Q: Why you stopped posting the Wartune “tomorrow’s events”? or Will there be any new events?

A: I stopped posting “tomorrow’s events” because they started re-running the exact same events over and over again, which is a very sloppy / lazy job. As the events are exactly the same for a while now I did not see the point of re-posting the same text over and over again. As a secondary reason I also have a lot of RL issues so I don’t want to spend my time on a not-useful thing.

Where are the new Cuties?

Q: What happened to those 4 new Cuties? Why they did not show up in the Wartune Patch 9.0?

A: I think at the last minute they decided to keep them to introduce them in a following patch. So most likely we should expect them to show up in the next Wartune patch (probably not a big one)

Can you help me login to my Wartune account?

Q: I have lost my password (or cannot access my account), can you help?

A: Absolutely not. I do not work for any of the Wartune companies – I am a player/blogger. And so I do not have access to anybody’s account and cannot help with such things. You should create a ticket for their game support agents. I know they often provide a horrible service as many players have complained a million times to me, but that’s what there is – I have zero influence on that.

Can’t login / server down / bored:

Q: My server is down for maintenance, what can I do?

A: Take a break, do something in RL or go play short fun games at DolyGames.com

Where to get Talent Stones?

Q: Where do we get Talent Stones from now?

A: We usually get the Talent Stones via the Hot Events exchanges which include them as an option in 2 or 3 exchanges.

You usually have a chance every event cycle to use your collected event items to exchange for the Talent Stones.

Unfortunately, I noticed a lot of people spent their event items on other exchanges and after this patch found themselves in a bit of a (temporary) trouble.

But don’t worry, just start exchanging them from now on until you have enough.

What’s the max refinement for the new Wartune Patch 9.0 equipment?

Q: Are you sure about max 100 refinement? A can do only 20.

A: Normally (officially) it is supposed to be 100. It seems there could be a bug on the Artifact/Halidom, but we should expect a fix then. So plan for 100 refinements for the long run.

  2. i loved reading this! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Okay Odin, is both a good damage dealer and healer (although selfish). Thor has some difficulty with hitting multiple targets (only 1 multi hit skill and its a delphic) Meaning Odin can often deal more damage in group situations such as arenas. Although thors holysword directly boosts damage, odin holysword removes the enemies buffs which often can be ultimately similar when it is removing titans. When it comes to heals, odin can only heal himself, but 1 on 1, it can often out heal a frigga. (though helios blessing costs awakening) Odin is not better at either of those things but not necessarily worse. Also if you stack %damage boost, or %damage reduction passives, Odin can be very tanky. Boss fights, Thor stands out more as a damage dealer. Because bosses generally dont use as many defensive buffs (so purge rune probably enough) as well as there often being only 1 target. And frigga is definately the better healer anytime you want to support teamates in arenas or other fights. Main drawback of odin is that players often seem more likely to carry dark/light resist, because Odin is commonly used. Another thing that was not mentioned it 2 odins, or (or thors or friggas) are not necessarily equal. You only get to choose 5 moves, and 3 passives. If you stack too many non damage options on your sylph, you may find yourself unable to attack (mostly noticable on frigga imo) Many frigga skills have long cooldowns. Because I generally have a 7th round iron will (fills awakening) titan, combined with holysword inscription passive, My sylph lasts a long time, and with too many long cooldowns, i would be encouraged to unsylph. Frigga also has extra passives to help it stay sylphed longer, so if you use those its even more important to keep a few short cooldown attacks. You can choose nothing, so you afk hit), or use a damaging rune like chaos, or save a nemesis skill if you took enough damage.

    • wow you wrote so much ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. What is the strategy to rank 1, 2, or 3 in the slyph arena?

    • I have defeated all slyph teams at the top of my fight page (highest arena points) and only rank 15th to 12th, even though I have defeated all those ranked ahead of me 1 to 3 times.
