Patch 5.0 Second Look
Hey guys, the test servers just received the patch 5.0 with amazing features and changes. Most of the features will be explained below in this article and the other features in my “Patch 5.0 First Look” guide (link provided below).

Here are the the main patch notes for the 5.0 patch:
- Added a Eudaemon PVP Arena.
- Added a Cross-server Dungeon.
- Added a Weekly Dungeon.
- Added a new Eudaemon: Wind Ranger.
- Added [Hell] difficulty for Lvl. 65+ multi-player dungeons. This difficulty level requires a relatively high BR and strong resistances.
- Added Kitten Club.
- Optimized the Sky Trail.
- Optimized the Sylph Arena.
- Optimized the Wheel of Fate.
- Optimized the Resistance system in the following ways:
- Increased Sylph resistance.
- Removed the Resistance requirement for unlocking RES Reduction.
- Kingdom Mark is now no longer required for unlocking a Copper, Silver or Gold Shield.
- Removed the Resistance requirement for unlocking a Diamond Shield.
- The Resistance and RES Reduction now display as a percentage while in battle..
- Adjusted rules for learning Sylph Skills, the Shop no longer sells Sylph Skill Books. Players can use Balens to learn Sylph skills and level requirements have been removed.
- Adjusted the Recovery system, players can now only recover EXP for free or with Balens.
New Eudaemon Arena:
The new Eudaemon Arena unlocks from 14:00-16:00 server time which made many players frustrated since some of them work, have school, etc in those times.
There are a total of 10 rounds each day and you can have up to 3 Eudaemons plus 1 Eudaemon as a backup. You can swamp Eudaemons at any time or summon the backup Eudaemon if needed.
As you can see from the image above, there are “Waves” in Eudaemon Arena. You can have up to 4 Eudaemons but all 4 of them will not fight at the same time. Each time your Eudaemon gets killed, your other selected Eudaemon will be summoned.
Rewards:
After each battle, you get a certain number of points. The points determine how good your rewards are. The points reset each week (Monday 5:00 Server Time). Some of the basic rewards are:
- War Crystal
- Eudaemon Skill Chest
- Blood of Zeus
- Materials for Upgrading Eudaemon Equipment.
Hell Mode for MPD:
A new mode for MPD was added which is much harder than the nightmare, but has awesome rewards. To be able to run Hell mode for an MPD, you must have Class Advancement and the Nightmare Mode cleared. Hell Mode is only available for the level 65+ Dungeons which are:
Demon Temple MPD:
Samsara MPD:
Lych’s Lair MPD:
Nirvana MPD:
Elemental Forest MPD:
- The first boss from Elemental Forest Hell mode drops x20 Divine Energy.
- Demon Temple gives a total of x20 Vulcan hammer.
Vulcan Hammers in Purgatory Maze:
After the new patch, many players got a nice amount of Vulcan Hammers and Vulcan Stoves. There have been many reports of different drop rates which are:
- 65 Vulcan Hammers and 315 Vulcan Stoves from 29 stages without a keys.
- 180 Vulcan Hammers and 500 Vulcan Stoves from 30 stages with keys.
- 65 Vulcan Hammers and 105 Vulcan Stoves from 18 stages without keys.
- 95 Vulcan Hammers and 225 Vulcan Stoves from 29 stages without keys.
New Recovery System:
The old recovery system has been totally removed which means you can’t use the Signet Training anymore. So, be sure to use yours up before it is too late. There are two ways to retrieve EXP:
- Common Retrieve – Does not cost anything.
- Advanced Retrieve – Costs a certain amount of Balens/Bound Balens.
The new recovery system shows up underneath your your “Devotion” each day.
Sylph Merge of Wind and Water Sylphs:
The Wind + Water Sylphs were finally added and they look amazing. The cost is still the same and you need the following materials:
- x500 Sun Core
- x500 Blast of Sun
- x300 Wind and Water Emblem

New Weekly Dungeon – Tara Temple:
A new awesome weekly dungeon was added in the 5.0 patch. You need to have Class Advancement to enter this dungeon. The rewards are Vulcan Hammers, Vulcan Stoves, Titan Iron Shards and Titan Stone Shards.
Note: You can run both of the dungeons, Narrandera Remains and Tara Temple each week with rewards.

I see no mention of being able to pay to forget already learned sylph skills. Did that get excluded?
nevermind, i think I found the answer. On the official forums patch notes, in one of the screenshots, it shows the word “forget” on each known skill gem, so yay, lol
Yes it is indeed possible to forget sylph skills. It cost 300 balens to forget a skill
Is there a quick change sylph gear button I heard that there was and thought I read it some were but know can’t find it

Seems almost laughably easy, with the only wrinkle being that the last boss can take control of a player at random. Less loot, but mostly stoves, so if you’re like me and need thousands of stoves to match your hammer supply, might be a good idea to run that once a month or so.
You can do both Weekly MPs anyways right ? so why not do both ?
I’ve seen some say it’s one or the other, and also an unconfirmed report of being able to do both (which may or may not be a bug/quirk of getting patched midweek etc). Going to assume we can only do one for the time being, but if we can do both, holy crap 😀
I ran NR yesterday (for the first time). Last night, just out of curiosity, I checked to see if I still had an attempt for TT and I do – both can be run once per week.
There was a mention of Battles being optimized. Have you noticed any improvements in speed/lessening of lag?
Any word on how hard EF Hell is? Not much use to most if its something only 2.6M+ can do, and that DT Hell vid wasn’t encouraging (not much use to me if it’s 2M+ either but at least thats within reach in the near future).

It’s on youtube “demontemple hell mode” (I don’t know if it’s ok to post links here). I’m right around the poster’s br so its relevant to me. The caveats are that they tried to two-man it, and you can’t tell what their res is or if they even had their res arranged properly (but then again, we don’t know how res is calculated anymore), but the bosses seemed to be hitting them reasonably hard, and that was DT. If the difficulty ramps up through LL-Samsara-Nirvana, my worry is that by the time I hit EF hell, it’l be too hard for me and (guaranteed) divine energies will once again be out of reach.
But again, it’s entirely possible they struggled because they were undermanned and/or forgot the proper res. Time will tell. But I’ve got my hopes up of being able to farm divine energy and upgrade my halidom/artifact some time before I die of old age (without having to be carried or sacrifice a year’s supply of event boxes), so I’m a bit nervous. Don’t mind me 🙂

Even though sylph skills are not sold any more, is it still possible to use the sylph skill scrolls in the inventory?
Even though I haven’t ‘used’ them to confirm it, the skill books I have in inventory show up as a small number in the bottom right corner of the corresponding skill on the new sylph skill panel… so the answer should be ‘yes, you can use them’. I think the main point of that statement is that you can’t get them thru the STORE anymore, you do your ‘shopping’ thru the sylph skill panel.
Please explain this point:-
Optimized the Resistance system in the following ways:
-Increased Sylph resistance.<<<—-what are the new sylph resistance values (???????)
With all the changes to res, as Eudaemon res changed at all, or are they completely useless now? If players are walking around with 2k res red, then 500 of each res isn’t gonna do anything.
They’ve change too.
A few things I do NOT like about this patch:
* The highly anticipated availability of having all the gem synthesis options did NOT happen, I have the same ones I ‘learned’ before (I’m an 80, so I should qualify).
* The LAG (especially in the city) has been minimized; but now were back to fighting smoke monsters and getting snagged on WarTune logos for everything… including trying to open inventory or any other menu… along with the swirling icons waiting for images to load.
* Stamina blitzes have been STRIPPED of rewards. I used to run my heroes in Burdoth’s Grave to get 2 crypt keys and would get a plethora of items to recycle, luck stones and crystaloids, also gold, daru and kyanite (15000) in each one. Today I ran my standard 3 heroes and got (5) crystaloids and 150K gold; event item and 182K gold; and event item, 12K kyanite and 150K gold… that’s IT (except exp, but that should be a given). I know the ‘junk’ is a lot of work, but I have NO idea where or how we’re suppose to get our refinement crystals now.
* They took away the option of claiming DI gold or anything else with the Signet Training, but they’re still awarding them as accumulated check-in rewards.
* Sky Trail rewards (so far) are ridiculous: Star Tears, Star Tear shards (which you CAN’T sell, you HAVE to spend 200,000 to synthesize a Star Tear – which you can then sell for 1,000), Star Sand, Sepulcrum (not given as much as I need now, but I’m sure will be useless soon enough, too), Sylph EXP Scrolls, Gold and Buffs (that reset daily).
* Sylph Arena is THE BIGGEST FAIL, in my opinion.
Previously, we had options: we could use our BRAINS and decide if we thought we had a chance of winning against the opponents presented to us, or use our gold to randomly get others… and we got daily rewards WE could select from. We still got points for losses, and when we played SMART, we could do REALLY well (I placed in the top 10 of diamond group several times).
Now: We set our sylphs (best 3), skills and click ‘Start’… and get sylph exp scrolls and equipment shards… whoopee!! Scrolls get dumped into a poor sylph that was only harvested to create a sepulcrum, equipment shards just get sold off. We gain points for winning and LOSE points for losses… but we have NOTHING to do with selecting who we battle. Push ‘Start’ and watch the show, get rewarded with worthless junk, and wonder WHY R2 doesn’t just GIVE weekly rewards to heavy cashers every week without having us waste our time. There is no GAME or GAIN to sylph arena anymore.
Thanks for this summary of nerfs, Jillian. Looks like the Wartune devs still enjoy doing pointless nerfs. Recovery saved me 20 mins daily (DI), and sylph exp was finally good reward, so it is no more?
You can get rid of star tear by putting it into vault, then getting kicked from guild. But yeah they should have assigned 1 gold value to it.
So Buradoth grave does not have crypt key anymore I assume?
what about the moon rocks,divinity stones and the moon dust drops they taking that away?
