Patch 5.0 First Look
Hey guys, in this post I share with you the details of changes in Wartune from patch 5.0 Big thanks to Harry for helping me with some of the images.
Exciting Changes:
These are some of the exciting changes we will get :D.
Sylphs:
- Greatly improved player matching and rewards in Sylph Arena. (Explained below).
- New rules for learning Sylph skills (Explained below).
Gems and Equipment Refinement:
- There is a very big change here – now you don’t have to collect gem transposers to make a certain gem which is very awesome. The synthesis formulas will be automatically learned by the character once he reaches the required level.
- Another huge improvement is that your refinement level won’t drop each time you refine you equipment so don’t refine your equipment until the new patch hits all of the servers.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue in which the Eudaemon’s general passive skills could not be learned.
- Fixed an issue where the Farm Harvest notification popped up repeatedly.
- Fixed an issue where reinforcement players were invisible in the cross server dungeon.
- Fixed an issue where rage was not inherited from the previous battle.
- Fixed an issue where the party channel is unavailable in the cross server dungeon.
- Fixed an issue where server tags were not displaying next to character names during cross server dungeon battles.
Other Changes:
These are some of the other changes made:
- Now characters make better decisions abut what skills to cast during AFK (auto) battles. This could potentially be very awesome for many players!
- Greatly simplified Shop categories.
- Improved game screen resolution.
- Added a feature that allows players to quickly swap their currently equipped Sylph or Eudaemon.
- Optimized the resource loading process when entering a battle.
- Hot keys using Eudaemon Delphic are changed to “R” and “T”
New Sky Trail Change:
After the new patch, we will have a modified version of the Sky trail. Learn more about this new change in my detailed guide by clicking HERE.
Multi-player Dungeon Changes:
The MPD system was changed in many aspects and I believe this may help lots of people and add a bit more challenge.
Cross Server MPD:
Now, you can do your MPD runs cross server! In other words, you can do your multiplayer dungeon(s) with strangers. As you can see from the image below, there are 2 start buttons. The big round “Start” button is if you want to do a cross server run while the small, pill shaped “Start” button is if you want to do a solo/team run. On top of this, there is a battle rating requirement for cross server MPD. If you do not meet the battle rating requirement, you cannot do a cross server MPD run.
How does the cross server multiplayer matching system work?
Example: If you choose to do a Elemental Forest run and you click the big round “Start” button, it will say “Matching”, just like arena. Then, you will be matched with 3 others that chose Elemental Forest.
The good thing about this new system is that you can get your MPD done faster but there are some bad things to this feature. If you decide to do a cross server MPD run, you may have a chance to pair with someone you don’t wan’t to and you might risk your MPD attempt.
Hell Mode for MPD:
As we all know, we have a “Normal” mode and “Nightmare” mode for select few MPDs. Now, in this new patch, they added a “Hell” mode for the following MPDs:
- Demon Temple
- Samsara
- Lych’s Lair
- Nirvana
- Elemental Forest
The “Hell” mode requires Class Advancement. Click HERE for more info on the Hell Mode and the rewards each Hell Mode Dungeon gives.
New MPD Formation:
This formation should be very easy to use instead of the drag and drop formation system.
New Eudaemon + Arena:
In the shop, where all of the Eudaemon items are located in, they added a new skill box for 50 Balens called “Wind Ranger Skill Box.” The Wind Ranger is the new Eudaemon and to be specific, it is an archer.

Another thing they added in the shop is the Hellish Flame which is required to upgrade the purple Eudaemon equipment to Orange (Legendary). The cost for x1 Hellish Flame is 20 Balens and you cannot use Bound Balens.
Eudaemon Arena:
Hero Arena, Sylph Arena and now finally, Eudaemons have their own arena.
The Eudaemon Arena is a everyday event which takes place from 14:00-16:00 server time. You can bring up to 4 Eudaemons in the arena to face other players. The rewards for Eudaemon Arena is Eudaemon Skill Chests, War Patch Crystals, and Eudaemon equipment upgrading materials.
New Battle Formation:
The battle formation was modified tons of times and once again, it is modified to make things easier for us. Now instead of the drag and drop formation, you can select your formation type out of 4 different combinations. Your Eudaemon and troops will be positioned according to what combination you choose.
Kitten Club Feature:
The “Kitten Club” feature is like a mini game which is permanent and a bit complicated (at least for me). How to use it?
- Buy furniture/toys with Balens (Bound Balens are accepted) or materials.
- These toys/furniture will attract kittens which will produce an income of gold.
- The higher your toys/furniture/kittens is, the more gold you will get.
The toys/furniture can be bought from the Kitten Shop with certain materials (Newspaper, Flannel, Cotton, Plank, Hemp Rope, Feather, Catnip) or Gold and Balens.
Where can I get those materials?
- Visit a friends’ Kitten Club and help repair their damaged items.
- Once you help them, you can have chance to get synthesizing materials.
- Synthesizing materials then can be synthesized in the blacksmith.
Auspicious Cat:
An auspicious cat can be bought for 1,500 Bound Balens or 600 Balens to increase the gold production from the toys/furiniture multiple times. The higher level your toy/furniture is, the more gold you get.
Resistance Crystal and Will Crystal Changes:
After the patch, you will see that your resistance and reduction resistance is increased. That is because they have increased the RES given from each RES/Will Crystal.

New Sylph Skill Rule:
Now, every time you learn a new skill, you will also earn a new skill. If all of your skill slots are full, one of your current skills will be randomly replaced.
With the new sylph skill rule, they removed the sylph skills from the shop. Instead, you can view ALL of your sylphs’s skills in your “Sylph Skills” tab.
Last but not least, you can now “Forget” your selected skills for a certain amount of Balens/Bound Balens. I am unsure if you can forget the merged sylph skills for Bound Balens but it is more than likely that you can’t.
New Fate System:
After the patch, they will have the Brutal Edge and Resistance combined. On top of that, a new fate system, called Tenacity is added which is the opposite of Intensity. Tenacity decreases damage received from players by a certain amount of percentage.
To upgrade the Tenacity Fate, you need a certain amount of Tenacity Marks which can be gained from the cross server points reward, Warrior’s Mark Chest and possibly events of course.
Here is a table on how many Tenacity Marks are needed from level 1 through 20 for the the Tenacity Fate.

New Sylph Arena Look and Rewards:
The sylph arena rewards were modified as well as how the sylph arena looks like.

Some may say the new rewards are nerf while others may say that the rewards are great. It all depends on the player. The rewards shown below are the weekly rewards.
As you can see, there is no way to get Advanced Sepulcrum from the weekly Sylph Arena Prize but you will get a huge amount of Sylph Equipment Enchantment Packs and regular Sylph Sepulcrum. You can still gain Sylph Equipment Shards and Sylph EXP Scrolls but only from battling rewards.
Sylph Arena Points Change:
It seems like the Wartune Devs like to play around with the sylph arena points. Before, you couldn’t loose points but gain by winning or losing. Now, if you loose a battle, you lose points.
On top of this, a new sylph arena ranking tier was replaced with iron called the “Bronze Tier”.
The new patch will be fun once we get it (at least for me) but what do you think about these new features and modifications? Comment below and be sure to ask questions.

I’m interested to see how the Resistance System will actually work, as in the percentages being same… or if it’s a ploy to give bigger numbers.
Remove a zero from new resistances number. I think it makes sense. If u do that u will see that low lvl crystals will have half the power feom the current ones and it scales per lvl. Only at lvl 12 the new resistance gonna be actually buffed. I think it gonna be nerfed for almost all lower lvls.

I think they have to increase the scaling of the resist % as it applies to the resist value. It’s currently that you get approx 12% Resist for every 100 Pts. 700 Resist == 84% Damage Reduction.
If those numbers held true, all you’d need is 3 Level 6 Gems of each type to be at max resist (for PvE purposes). I have a feeling the scale is going to go from 12% per 100 Pts to something like 1.5% per 100 Pts.
Looking at the levels of the Resist Gems, I’m going to add another value – the X increase at each level.
L1 – 10 to 50 = x5
L2 – 18 to 70 = x3.88
L3 – 30 to 100 = x3.33
L4 – 42 to 150 = x3.57
L5 – 54 to 220 = x4.07
L6 – 72 to 330 = x4.58
L7 – 90 to 490 = x5.44
L8 – 112 to 730 = x6.51
L9 – 150 to 1090 = x7.27
L10 – 200 to 1630 = x8.15
L11 – 265 to 2440 = x9.21
L12 – 350 to 3660 = x10.46
Assuming they’d want to kind of hard-gauge the current top-barrier of resists as L10 right now, being that top-end players are at L8 and L9 now, I’m thinking a x8 ratio would fit to keep a rough scale of resists in place. Hence going from 12% to 1.5% per 100 Resist.
What this does however is make Sylph built-in resist pointless (unless they change that too). A 200 pt swing in resists in this new scale is about the equivalent of 25 pts in the current one – and that’s nothing.
If ANY of these numbers hold up (and they readjust the scaling, which they HAVE to), I have a feeling that those of us who aren’t VIP9 with 5 dimensions and a bunch of lvl 9 res crystals are about to get royally screwed. I guess we know why they’re OK with dumping so many crystals on us from dimension rewards 🙁
The RES Reduce of the attacker essentially “moves the zero” in the equation. There is a lower bound on effective resistance of -166.7, that is, no matter how much RES Reduce the attacker has, they can’t reduce the defender’s resistance below -166.7 (roughly 20% additional damage).
And how exactly the eudaemon arena will work? we will be able to select the skills we want and in the oreder we want like sylph arena or it`ll be like in bounty targets? and it`s cross-server or just the server?
That Kitten Club stuff looks like a whole lot of WTFery (and more crap to stuff our already overflowing inventories) so not gonna say anymore about that. The Hell MPD mode…maybe thats how we’ll get our gear once subclasses hit?
The Tenacity marks…UGH. I mean, its not as bad as influence were you could once again be stunned for multiple turns if someone cashes hard enough, but to reward these marks from weekly arena pt chest, when they took x-server pvp pts out of BG and MP arena lags as badly as it does? Not happy at all, thought I was finally done with that crap.
Not sure what to think of “Tara Temple”, but I’ll have to see the rewards to know for sure. It can’t have EXACTLY the same drops as NR, because…if it’s harder, why would anyone do it, if its easier why would anyone do NR, and if they’re the same difficulty then what’s the point of adding it in the first place? I gotta think it’s either a harder MPD with better drops for the cashers, or an easier mpd with better drops for finishing it for those who can only beat the first boss of NR, but NR will still have the best loot for those who can complete it every week. Or it’ll give entirely different loot and we’re all making the wrong assumtions 😀
Formation…eh, I still rather they give us a 3×3 grid.
Not sure what the bit about ‘sylph arena matching’ means, but hopefully it wont screw up refreshing for an easier matchup.
Not sure what to think of the new eud, when getting eud marks is inconsistent, but maybe they’ll add a more reliable source. Also hoping that eud arena thing is set up like sylph arena and isn’t really just some timed event from 1400-1600 because…for people with jobs who can’t play WT all day, 2-4pm is a really bad time for a 1/day event, R2 :/
Hopefully, all of that is just a case of too much cynicism and there will be some really fun additions comg.
about NR or TT, maybe you need diff res for the bosses, so maybe thats making the choice wich one you want to do.
Im really not happy about them removing adv seps from the sylph arena prizes.. Thats total bullshit.. When they gonna learn, the more they try to FORCE ppl to spend, the less keen we are on actually spending

hi, i want to know wil be changes about how we get rezistence? dimension reward wil be the same after new patch ? if crystal rezist wil increase for monsters and atol boss wil remain on the same rezist against them, or theyr rezist wil increase too ?
The only Problem I see is the Eudaemon Arena… the timings won’t help all players, since many belong to different time zones 🙁

some of the changes look good, although I doubt the res changes will be as good as they look.
I’m pretty sure resistance gets nerfed. The bigger numbers mean less resist.
And I was just spending my entire spare bound balens to collect the gem transposers :/ I don’t think there is any compensation for this, is it?
All we gotta do is wait till the new patch hits all the servers.
All changes seem to be about the balens and cashers. No real gains for starting players and lower level players. They also add more “stuff” but no more room to store these items unless you pay real money in the game . . . and a lot of it. All level 10 guilds should get an extra page of vault space . . JMO.
You can unlock all inventory slots with bound balens, including page 4+5 for 450bb/month (you get 300 if you log in every day, so you just need to get 150 from cloud adventure & other sources [underground, solo duels, guild blessing, spire…] which isn’t hard.
The hard part is gathering all the bb, it takes a few good months to save it, but it’s defenitely possible (I did it myself)
… but I do agree there defenitely should be some advanced guild upgrades for extra storage :/
Yeah, as more items come along, more inventory space will be needed.
I feel sorry for anyone new who couldnt take advantage of the free flow of bbs from old dimensions to open all their inv.
There is still lots of other ways to get Bound Balens like Cloud Adventure 😀
Not all of the changes seem to be about the Balens and cashers. Some of these features area actually helping out lower level players that can’t find anyone to do MPD or more.
There’s only 1 thing I’m interested to find out,
and that is whether fashion cores and luck charms will be so much available like mahra and mount whips..
Hopefully a shop that makes them affordable so that we can get a gd supply of them
I have checked into it and they are still the same price in the Shop.
The one thing I hope they change with AFK combat is that the Eudaemon will only choose to do the Epic heal if the player is dying. If the troops and Eudeamon is near death it still won’t use the heal.
When will the crystal events become unlimited to mirror the gem events? Can we get spec added to the farm? Why only marah? Pls add an AFK option for mpd dungeons.
I would love that. I usually solo Spire and I literally leave the room and let it do its thing until I hit level 19, then I get active.
Hi, we aren’t the Devs/GMs of Wartune. We just post info, tips, strategies, and more to help out players.
Sounds like a nightmare to me. More lagging and Disconnects. And more items to store without anywhere to put them.
The main problem with all these new systems, is that you can use balens for them, not that its bad or new. But it takes away from the competitive nature of the game when people can just buy it. Understandably some people are minor cashers as I have spent money on the game as well all be it not as much as many of the so called bigs in the servers. But everything in the game now can be bought and honestly its a trend that me and many others cannot keep up with.
I hope we will get more inventory space.
This game now turning into a mess almost everything now can be bought and to compete we have to recharge 100000+ balens in a week i am outta here i spend my enough time in this shit alredy NO MORE
I do like some of the changes, but at what point are they going to stop trying to make this like farmsville?
I remember when I first started you were hard pressed to spend 2 hours on here. Now you need 5-6 to try and do everything.
They need to seriously start thinking about pairing back some of this. I will not be adding more hours to my day on here and if it starts to cause problems of falling behind I will pull the plug
Mustve missed the sylph arena changes first time around. It looks…”OK” IF you need regular crums, but in every other regard its a straight nerf. Unless I’m missing it I don’t see any daily rewards, which means we get fewer enchant packs from weekly prize than we can get total from 7x daily now (plus weekly if you choose the B prize). No adv crums screws over people with 2nd evo sylphs (unless they cash harder, which is the real point). Also, I don’t see a refresh button. I’m betting this will make it almost impossible to strategically move up the rankings without a team of OP sylphs (meaning even fewer enchant packs), but again, that might be cynicism talking. We’ll see.
BTW, where is this info from?? It’s in english, so it’s not from China, but I don’t remember seeing any test server patches. Is there some special preview server that I have somehow managed to miss after all this time?

You’re absolutely right AR, they severely nerfed Sylph Arena rewards to garbage now. Sure the weekly is slightly better than prior to the patch… but there is indeed no daily reward, so you get something like 1/4-1/2 the total rewards each week along with no longer being able to get ADV Sepelcrum as others suggested. In terms of their “better matching”… it’s better like the regular Arena is better lol, they’re both dreadful. =( A legitimately “good” system would match to around 8/7 +/- 2 or so, and that’s nowhere close to what Arena, and now Sylph Arena match like… I’ve not found a single thing I like about the changes to Sylph Arena. All my sylph are lvl 80 now, so all the xp scrolls are entirely worthless, and now the only consistent source for sylph gear enchanting is doling out a fraction of what it used to with *nothing to offset that*. =(
Nooo! leave the midget delphic hotkeys ALONE! My keyboard has hotkeys along the side of keyboard, R and T is just awkward
ammendment to my previous comment.. Why cant they just let you set what hotkeys u want, like almost any other game.. Assign a keystroke command to a skill, and voila.. HATE all this hardcoded crap forcing u to do it their way or not at all

Tt is basically like buy one skill and get one free. So if you buy a sylph skill for your sylph, then you will get another one for free. If all of your Sylph Skills are slot, then one of your Sylph Skills will be replaced.
I get it, buy one, get another for free. But does that mean that BOTH of the skills will be learned at the same time or you get to choose if you ever want to learn the one you get for free?

including holy forge?
The holy forge rating never goes down to begin with. They are talking about trying to refine a matk lvl 7 only to get block lvl 2 or smth. From what I understand, it now means the new stat, ie block, will be 7 or higher. The ony thing that goes down on holy forge is the % bonus to forging itself, and thats only upon a successful stat gain, so no, I seriously doubt that includes holy forge.. Another indicator of this is the word refine. Refine and forge are 2 different things

How about a button to awake your Eudaemon sylph? no information about that
I have tried to do awaken for Eudaemon and it does not work.
Things I would have liked to see included in this patch:
-Removed the obnoxious ‘Upgrade BR window’ from under the quest tracker as it never provided a function that couldn’t be accessed by less intrusive, screen wasting methods
-Added a toggle button to choose to display battle damage above a players head or not
–Added a new chat tab ‘Combat’ where battle damage values are sent alternatively.
-Upgraded servers and bandwith so as to restore the game to its enjoyable playing status. This should resolve most lag issues.
-Overhauled our customer support. Players will now receive a prompt, useful response as opposed to being told to clear their cookies and cache for any and all tickets, after 5 days of filing one. Players will now no longer have their tickets closed until it has been verified that the problem has been resolved.
-Restored the mini client to the amazing functionality it had before we forced players to receive a patch which essentially ruined it.
-Removed the bottleneck on top end materials. Players will now be able to obtain the needed supplies to improve their characters at a reasonable rate, without being FORCED to spend. Spending will ofc still give an advantage and swifter upgrades, but will now no longer be the only means of improving. We are aware that the BR gap has gotten too out of hand and has made the game much less enjoyable for a vast majority of our players.
-Rebalanced the drop %s on boxes, as we are aware there are players that have gone over a year without receiving any of the good stuff, and no one player should be able to open 10k boxes without having gained at least one of the good drops.
-Fixed the RNG (Random Number Generator) to actually be random. We are aware that there is nothing random about one player never getting a .0001% drop item while watching several others receive 3-5 of that same item in a single event. With a true .0001% drop chance, this should have never been statistically possible to begin with, and we apologize for the frustration this has caused MANY of our valued players.
Yes, I know, I’m living in fantasy land. But yea, those are SOME of the things I personally would have appreciated seeing in the patch, heh
😀 Now I get it! The game is full of bugs because the Devs play League of Legends instead of fixing them 😀 (If they play as good as fixing bugs I’m sure they are in BRONZE 😀 )
About New Fate System:
Some people has already Resistance level 20. I am curious if they will need to gather again all Tenacity stones for upgrading Tenacity from level 0 to 20, or if it will just be level 20 as Resistance was.

Anyone know about what the rewards will be for the Hell mode mpd? More specifally, EF NM. Would like to know if we will get a 100% drop of divine energy or will it be the same as now only in a greater amount.

OK, I really don’t get the new sylph skill rules. I can tell its an improvement, I just don’t know how much of an improvement.

– Heaven Horns
– Celestial Stones
– Sylph Skill scrolls (Most imp concern for me)

Nothing new about Signet Tokens
Heaven Horns can still be used after patch, but no new Heaven Horns will come.
Celestial Stones will not be usable, apparently.

The euademon arena is too late for few poeple. please change the timing of the arena to an earlier time
