Complete Henna Analysis and Reaching Knighthood Requirements

Hey guys, this is an awesome post with full analysis on Henna, Advanced Henna and how much it takes to reach knighthood, which was created with the great help of Jesse from Kabam S67. I almost titled this post “All the Secrets of Henna” :P, so check it out, learn all the secrets, share/like and give special thanks to Jesse in the comments 🙂
This is a long post and the conclusions and recommendations to cashers and non-cashers are at the end.

Complete Henna Analysis and Knighthood Requirements

By this time most people know that henna gives a diminishing return in tattoo stat increase the higher the actual tattoo stat is. That begs the question of how much henna (regular or advanced) is required to get to knighthood.

Starting with regular henna first – this is what we know:

Wartune Tattoo Maximum Capacity

Regular Henna Facts: Ranges

When raising a single tattoo stat from 0 to 200 regular henna gives an increase in stat anywhere between a low increase of 1 and a high increase of 10. This is for each one hundred henna used (=1 click in henna cleansing).  When raising a single tattoo stat from 200 to 400 regular henna gives an increase in stat anywhere between 1 and 9 for each one hundred henna used. The highest possible increase in stat is decreased by 1. This trend continues where every successive 200 stat increase the high end of the range received decreases by 1. By the time the tattoo stat reaches 1800 the stat increases by just 1 for each 100 henna used. Of course we know that regular henna will not increase a stat above 2000.

Henna Analysis 1 to 10 range

We can estimate the amount of regular henna required by making an assumption:

Average Regular Henna per 200 Range

We can assume the average tattoo stat increase is the middle of the range for that bracket. We know that is a big assumption as many people feel random events at Wartune are not so random (it would be nice to confirm this with actual experience). So for example, when raising a stat from 0 to 200 regular henna can increase a stat anywhere from 1 to 10. Using this assumption the average stat increase for each 100 henna used would be 5.5 (the center of the range). Increasing a stat from 200 to 400 this would assume each 100 henna would provide a stat increase of 5. Continuing like this through each 200 level stat and ending up at 1800 to 2000 each 100 henna gives a stat increase of just 1. This is, of course, for each tattoo and there are eight.

Then we can estimate the henna required to reach knighthood:

How much regular Henna is needed for Knighthood?

With this assumption we can estimate the total regular henna required to reach knighthood of 12,000 total tattoo stats. Any value of an individual tattoo in each of the eight tattoos between 1,400 and 1,600 would require the minimum amount of regular henna (provided a total of 12,000 is met). For the sake of argument (and simplicity) we can distribute 1,500* stats in each tattoo and estimate the amount of regular henna needed to get to that level.

*Actually an exact stat level of 1,500 in each of the eight tattoos cannot be distributed to provide the needed 4,000 / 4,000 / 4,000 or 8,000 / 2,000 / 2,000 stat distribution requirements for knighthood. We are just using 1,500 for the sake of argument (we might make a separate post on the estimated minimum henna for each tattoo required to meet the knighthood tattoo distribution.)

And now the table…

The table below breaks down each individual tattoo level from 0 to 2,000 into each 200 level – and highlights the 1,500 level. For each level the range of tattoo increase for each 100 regular henna is shown, along with the assumed average tattoo increase for that level. For one tattoo the amount of regular henna required to advance to the next 200 tattoo stat level is calculated. It is shown as both the successive amount to the next 200 stat level along with the cumulative amounts required to reach that level. The next two columns show the successive amount of regular henna required along with the cumulative amount is shown for all eight tattoos.

Regular Henna Income

Henna Lab harvest icon Henna Lab lab types Wartune

Suppose an active player does two sets of ten hour labs every day and receives 300 henna. Then the player raids five expert labs and receives 5 henna plus a 5 henna bonus. Add another 50 per day from events and other sources for a total of 400 henna per day. Accumulating regular henna at that rate would result in the times required to each successive level and cumulative level shown in the table. The final result is more than two years to reach knighthood!

Obviously this is a daunting task. Even though small amounts of advanced are available. It is an extraordinary amount of time to reach knighthood. Hopefully the availability of henna (regular or advanced) will improve over time.

Regular Henna Table Analysis

Due to page width I have abbreviated column headings:

  • MIN REC. = Minimum Received
  • MAX REC. = Maximum Received
  • AVG. = Average for Calculation
  • TO NEXT = Amount required to reach the next 200 range
  • CUML = Cumulative to Level
  • Bold + Italic = requirement for Knighthood

Table Reading Guide / Observations

  • To bring one tattoo to 1000 stats is estimated to require 22,795 regular henna.
  • To bring one tattoo to 2000 stats is estimated to require 80,795 regular henna.
  • To reach knighthood with regular henna we estimate that you will need around 339,694 regular henna (28.3 months or ~2 years).
  • To bring 8 tattoos to 1000 stats is estimated to require 182,361 regular henna.
  • To bring 8 tattoos to 2000 stats is estimated to require 646,361 regular henna.

Wartune Tattoo Maximum Capacity

Advanced Henna Facts: Ranges

Likewise we can estimate the amount of advanced henna required to reach successive tattoo levels and reach maximum stats for tattoos.

So for advanced henna this is what we know:

When raising a single tattoo stat from 0 to 250 advanced henna gives an increase in stat anywhere between a low increase of 21 and a high increase of 40. This is for each one hundred henna used (=1 click in henna cleansing).  When raising a single tattoo stat from 250 to 500 advanced henna gives an increase in stat anywhere between 21 and 39 for each one hundred henna used. The highest possible increase in stat is decreased by 1. This trend continues where every successive 250 stat increase the high end of the range received decreases by 1. By the time the tattoo stat reaches 4,750 the stat increases by just 21 for each 100 henna used. Of course we know that the maximum stat for an individual tattoo is 5,000.

And now the assumption to estimate advanced henna required:

Average Advanced Henna per 250 Range

Same as above, we can assume the average tattoo stat increase is the middle of the range for that bracket. So for example, when raising a stat from 0 to 250 advanced henna can increase a stat anywhere from 21 to 40. Using this assumption the average stat increase for each 100 henna used would be 30.5 (the center of the range). Increasing a stat from 250 to 500 this would assume each 100 henna would provide a stat increase of 30. Continuing like this through each 250 level stat and ending up at 4,750 to 5,000 each 100 henna gives a stat increase of just 21. This is, of course, for each tattoo and there are eight.

The advanced henna table…

Again the table below breaks down each individual tattoo level from 0 to 5,000 into each 250 level and again highlights the 1,500 level. For each level the range of tattoo increase for each 100 advanced henna is shown, along with the assumed average tattoo increase for that level. For one tattoo the amount of advanced henna required to advance to the next 250 tattoo stat level is calculated. It is shown as both the successive amount to the next 250 stat level along with the cumulative amounts required to reach that level. The next two columns show the successive amount of regular henna required along with the cumulative amount is shown for all eight tattoos.

The bottom line is: we need just over 40,000 advanced henna to get to knighthood and almost 160,000 advanced henna to get maxed tattoos. The balen value of advanced henna seems to vary from one event to another so calculating the balen cost to knighthood and then maximizing the tattoos becomes difficult. Being patient over time should reduce the cost but it is daunting as well.

Note: Advanced Henna is also given out as a bonus reward in Spender/Recharge events, so it is even possible to reach knighthood without directly buying henna (we previously reported about a player who did this). However, naturally, this would require a sizable recharging/spending.

Conclusions, Key Points and Recommendations

  1. Definitely do not stress at all about regular henna. Its’ impact is very small, so if you forget to collect from your Henna Lab don’t worry about it.
  2. Even with the tiny increase of regular henna income from Raiding implemented in Patch 5.6 we can confidently say that you can completely ignore Raiding.
  3. Regular henna is useful in 2 cases: increasing stats to low levels and using it for modifications to get the exact attributes you need.
  4. We estimate ~40k advanced henna is needed to achieve Knighthood. Forget about obtaining Knighthood with regular henna.

Additional Tips for Cashers who do not yet have Knighthood

  • Consider not buying advanced henna directly if you can wait a little bit.
  • Try to recharge or spend balens only during those events which give advanced henna.
  • Use our advanced henna event analysis to use your henna in the most efficient way. Or the analysis on the advanced henna dimension exchange.
  • Thinking a little ahead try to also combine with bound balen rewards, which you will need later to upgrade talents.

What can or should Non-Cashers do?

  • It is absolutely clear from the analysis that the job cannot be done without advanced henna (unless you want to wait years), so consider dropping everything and using any means necessary to obtain advanced henna. This mostly means not taking any rewards from event chests and exchanging them for advanced henna when such an opportunity arises.
  • Like and share this post like crazy for everyone to know the facts and then use the power of collective friendship to (politely and respectfully; without any insults) pressure the Wartune operations team to release more henna income (both regular and advanced). This can be done for example via tickets, forum posts, posts on their facebook page and you can reference this analysis as proof. Probably tickets are the most effective tool, but only if many people report the same problem / request, so that the issue becomes visible in their statistics.
  • For whatever amount of advanced henna you do manage to accumulate make sure to use it in an efficient way (links in paragraph above).

Well, that’s all folks 🙂
We hope you have enjoyed this post and have learned all there is to know about henna! Feel free to comment below, share your thoughts, suggestions or anything else related to this topic of regular or advanced henna and reaching knighthood.

  1. thanks!

    • cheers 🙂

    • im so INSULT REMOVED mad right now….I posted all this INSULT REMOVED on facebook but never published it. some INSULT REMOVED literally copy n pasted some of this stuff word for word out of what I typed. I even did all the math, but without charts. what a INSULT REMOVED

      • Firstly your insults are not appreciated at all and I will ban you if you continue such behavior.
Secondly I have no idea what facebook you are talking about because you never communicated anything on our facebook page or you have never emailed anything to me. Perhaps you don’t even know which facebook page belongs to which people, but our team does not own the entire facebook in case you believe that.
Thirdly, for future, try to act like a human being and communicate with people respectfully – say who you are, indicate where you posted your information and write in a normal human way what the problem is.

  2. Awesome thank you 🙂

    • kind of you 🙂
      you are welcome 🙂

  3. unbelievable analysis ,really never seen that before, how can you do it? ?

    • It’s a professional person in wartune game

      • there are lots of good people in Wartune, we just need devs/publisher to care about the people and do a lot better job

    • thank you
just hard work as with anything else in life

  4. cosmo why I can only collect 1x a day expert lab because after 10 hours of cooldown it said ripened.. so 10 hours + ripened time I don’t know how many hours more to wait for ripened

    • you can collect and/or dismantle anytime, so for example before going to bed, dismantle and put again

    • Are you saying you can’t collect it once ripened?

I am having an issue where it will say ready to harvest right after I plant it and can’t stop it early.

      • as i wrote, you can collect at any time, ripe or not, it makes no difference

      • Not for me, the harvest symbol will appear before it is done and when that happens, it does not all me to collect it or dismantle it

      • that’s weird, normally you have either a ripened icon after the time is up or a dismantle option before that; if you have something else make a ticket, perhaps you found some bug

      • Ignore the harvest symbol. (sometimes that appears hours after ripened happens) If it says ripened, it is done. Dismantle and collect.

      • You can’t just click on the house. you have to scroll over the henna symbol and click on it. I think that’s your problem.

  5. Wow you spent a lot of time on this tyvm for the effort

    • thanks for taking time to say thanks 🙂

  6. ty very much Cosmos you are awesome! 🙂

    • thanks, and big thanks to Jesse as well

  7. Ty for this info. For us free players, should we get tattoo stats to a certain level with regular henna before we start to use adv henna?

    • it will depend on how much henna you have and you can see on the table how far that would get you, which is not far at all with regular henna

  8. Cosmos, thanks so much for this post. Really helps my planning on getting Knighthood. You are awesome!

    • thanks from our team 🙂

  9. Superb analysis !!
U certain helped lotsa non cashers..to take a decision.
well +ve part is..though it takes 2 yrs time with normal..so they will certainly roll huge amount of normal or adv.henna in near future..The future which seems like Dark night, which rises every day. 😛

  10. There’s another factor to consider if you’re a free player and making a long-term plan. They may eventually release a lot more regular henna to the point everyone will have 2000 on every stat and regular henna will be useless, while advanced henna will still be needed – the same way as vulcan hammers/stoves are now compared to clamp/stithies, so by following this logic it may be worth saving adv henna and just using regular henna when possible.

However, by the time it’ll be possible (if ever, there’s nothing granted in Wartune), I guess they will remove the advanced henna event, the same way they essentially removed the mount training whip event now (no mtw returns), so you basically risk “losing” some of your advanced henna too.

Well, it’s Wartune, you can just guess.

    • With Wartune there is not such a thing as a constant. Value and availability of items, calculations and even facts are just a reflection of a moment in time.

    • yeah that’s a good point..saving adv hena and using them after regular henna maxes at 2000 stats. But u need big patience and a controlled mouse. 😉

  11. vlw…bom trabalho

  12. hahaha no need do any calculation

like i always joke…r2 expect us to play another 3 years

so u can see the nerf thingy all drag us for another 3 years+/-

  13. Nice job Cosmos

    • Edit: Nice job Cosmos &Jesse

      • thanks from C & J 🙂

  14. Forget to get knighthood by regular henna ? you joke ? how any way to get knighthood but not by regular? FK koram!

  15. Maybe they should have occasional events with an exchange. 100 Soul crystals for 100 henna, and 100 soul seals for 100 adv henna.

  16. thanks cosmo for the info I did dismantle the lab and got the henna I thought u must w8 the icon to pop out before u harvest. ur the don’t get tired on guiding us..
I’m the one open the problem on harvesting the henna’s.
    thank you…….

    • happy to have helped you 🙂

  17. Really appreciating the hard work that you have put into this article, just need to ask you one thing, what will be the probable recharge that we have do for 5000 attributes for each tattoo ???
Again hats off for the hard work

    • hi, thanks, about recharge, as explained, it really has to do with how well you are able to spend your money and if you can wait until you have specific events or not

  18. Seems about right I dropped 12k normal henna last night and got roughly 500 in stats out of it lol was kinda sad

  19. A good summary! I already wrote a shorter guide on the subject on my blog in March. To make the story short, you dont need 40.000 adv henna, you need like 23.000, because you will get the extra adv.henna in the tatoo events. See more detail here:
    http://wartune-balens.blogspot.hu/2016/03/advanced-henna-and-knighthood.html
Also a neat trick when you use adv henna and make knighthood, leave one slot untouched by advanced henna, so you can spend regular henna there for a while.

  20. if your calculations are right free players will not wait two years to make the tattos will give up the game long before that, it will be that they do not see what is happening this taking too long to get items in wartune not know for what reason this so but already perdeno are many players with it.
tyvm by Cosmo put this information is very interesting and important to have this information =)

  21. i think (at least in my version of the game) its better to Spend on henna directly, its the cheapest and fastest way to obtain Knighthood. Because you Recharge get Adv. Henna you Spend on Hena und get henna from Big Spender Event. I got the last 15k adv. henna i needed for only 15k balens (think in wartune (usa) Would be 45k balens (but same amount of real-money)

  22. As one of only two player on the Koram servers with Knighthood I agree it is next to impossible to do it without getting Adv. Henna. You should do whatever you can with events to stockpile it and use them en masse when there is a Henna event. Regular Henna is best used to shift stats. Once you hit the 2K mark that is all they can be used for.

  23. even when writing a hundred times that its useless to raid henna labs (same with dimensions and other palyers in general, cause weakens smaller palyers with result they quit so u just weken ur own server, ofcourse good strategy if u want to force r2 to merge servers cause of low population) there always be the big ones raiding smaller ones, cause its the way of 99% to show their “skill” (attack with minimum twice br def is big skill)

another point: the devs know that it takes forever to get knighthood for free players, thats why they created it like it is, its used to get rid of free ones or to force them to spend money. so there will be no change by sending hundreds of tickets or post in forum.

just a last word to ur question if “random” is really “random” in wartune:

did a statistic done over 4 months with the drops in dimensions and from the results i can say that there is no real “random” in this game (if wanted can pass the tables so can see im right (at least with this point) )

  24. Tnks.

  25. Now I know I am mentally challenged. I seriously don’t know how I have gotten as far as I have. Thanks for all the help. You guys do a wonderful job. Too bad you have to deal with weak minds like mine.

    • thanks for the kind words 🙂
don’t worry, wherever you are, just get stronger and smarter – only progress matters not where we start
      have a wonderful day

  26. Hello Cosmos,
I am a non-casher and I have been playing Wartune for a while. I like the game but at some points it gets difficult because there are things I want to do (get BR higher, get tattoos) yet I don’t know where to look to get them or HOW to get them. Is there anyplace I could get a sort of walkthrough or guide that explains exactly how to go about the game (for non-cashers)? Thanking you in advance Eryqq

  27. how many bound balens to buy advance henna for tatto stats?

  28. Well, u need to update this post, with all the events going on and plan ahead of time, i got knighted within a year, never recharge, vip zero, 4m br and knighted. And in my other toon i max all tattoo within 2 years, never recharge for adv henna with 21m br. Never use balens or bound balens for adv henna, pay attention to the repeated event, many things u can get for free.

    • The only reason you were able to do that is because of all our work and player complaints which resulted in higher rewards distributed to everyone.
I do not need to update older posts such as this from 1 year ago – this is a BLOG, I write articles every day and the game changes regularly.
