Various Wartune Survey/Poll Results

Hi Everyone! In this blog post I share the results of various smaller (2 choice) Wartune surveys I ran on my Wartune Facebook page.

Poll Results on Fantasy Arena

In this poll I asked “Just finished #Wartune Fantasy Arena fights, enjoyed the short battles, wish Team Arena was short like that. How did you do? Do you like this event?“

The result was:

• 58% liked
• 42% didn’t

The good thing is that it is one of very few surveys where over 50% were positive. I think people liked the ability to pick different things and the fast battles (and the rewards). On the other side, perhaps people did not see a point to this one-off event, did not appreciate the rewards and did not enjoy the battles ruined by stun.

Poll Results on Wartune’s ad trying to attract more players

In this poll I asked “Just saw a #Wartune ad which I thought was crappy. Would this attract/bring more players?“

The result was:

• 19% liked
• 81% didn’t

The players voting, by large majority agreed, that this Wartune ad was not attractive. It was a poor job done by the Wartune employee(s) to attract more players. It is very unfortunate because the game does need new players.

Poll Results on Wartune’s 7th Anniversary Events

In this poll I asked “Are you happy with the #Wartune 7th Anniversary Events?“

The result was:

• 33% liked
• 67% didn’t

So basically only 1/3rd of Wartune players liked, which is a poor result. This is especially bad due to the fact that this was a “big deal event” for Wartune, so you would not want to get this wrong. Although I cannot know all the reasons I can share what I think they did wrong:

• Over-complicated / unnecessarily complex set of events (“Keep it Simple Stupid!”).
• The massive initial error of launching it as casher only.
• Fake rewards like the mount in Astral which basically nobody got (yes I know they “verified” that it was working correctly and maybe 1-2 players somewhere in the universe got it supposedly)
• A multitude of little annoying things (e.g. not finding people to do “Snow” with).

Poll Results on Antaeus Force

In this poll I asked “Have you used the Antaeus Force in #Wartune?“

The result was:

• 12% used
• 88% didn’t

That’s a big slap in the face of whoever designed and implemented this feature – a complete waste of resources which could have gone to something useful for the Wartune players.

Quite a few players don’t even know what this is at all… (and I do not blame them! Their feelings are totally justified)

Final words

The Wartune Team is disconnected from the players and have very poor knowledge of Wartune. They have been doing a bad job for a long time.

To move forward in a good way they should target a minimum of 75% success rate in everything that they do. It is never possible to satisfy 100% of Wartune players but 75% should be more than achievable.

So when they see something like 80% disapproval they MUST ask themselves “Why?”. They must become customer-oriented and constantly challenge themselves with questions like “how can we create something fun for our players?”, “how can we fix the issues which create frustration for our players?”. Unfortunately they have not been doing that, but every day is an opportunity to turn it around and start doing a good job.
