Strategy for Fast Spire Nightmare
Hey you guys, here I layout a strategy for completing Spire Nightmare (NM) more quickly. For newer players this also applies to normal Spire, but eventually that difficulty becomes very trivial to complete. A big thanks to PoisonArrow for telling me about this and suggesting I share/record the trick. Some times great info is floating around quietly for a long time before it gets to us, but we really appreciate it when people share what they know when they find out!
The main problem about Spire NM is how much health the bosses have; if your team’s DPS (damage per second) isn’t up to snuff, you can easily be sitting around for long periods of time.
Player Battle Ratings
In the video (end of the post), I run with two 6 million BR players (left two players of the picture) and two 9+ million BR ones (the two on the right), which is completely overkill in this case. Regardless of your BR, you can use this trick to improve the damage output of your team, but I think to complete Spire NM you probably need a team averaging 6.5-7 Million BR (Patch 5.5 numbers).
Sylphs
You’ll need two sylphs with “Steal”, so Wind or Wind+Water will do. For the other two you probably want your two highest damage dealers to have high power sylphs – Electro, Fire, Electro+Fire, or even Light+Dark will all work well.
Eudaemons
Four players all bringing Wind Rangers is the best setup, or at least as many people with a Wind Ranger as possible. As for any time you want high damage, everyone should equip only Cursed Arrow.
Skill Timing
So with this set up, the Spire run can do as follows:
- Bosses 1-14 kill as fast as possible (business as usual), try to make sure to take out the last bars of bosses 3-5 out in one turn or else for a non-overpowered group, the wind rangers may die later on.
- Make sure by bosses 13-14 you’re building up awakening points.
- At boss 15, after the stun, all players should awaken.
- All players should use Vulcan Wrath to up their damage. Players set up to steal should repeatedly use steal, and players with attack sylphs should use their highest damage skill over and over again.
- After the boss 15 stun, there are no skill or rune cooldowns, so the Wind Rangers will use Cursed Arrow every turn for huge damage bonuses, and the attack sylph players will cast even bigger damage. You need the steals to maintain the team’s awakening points, since those do still decrease.
- If you have a very strong team, you can beat the whole dungeon without the skill cooldowns coming back, but even for a bunch much less overpowered, getting to bosses 22-23 without having to get out of sylph mode is very doable.

We’ve been doing this for some time. Very effective. The lone Thor in our group will 1-shot bosses 16, 17, 18 and 19 w/ just the cursed arrow bonuses, and then with a Vulcan, one-shots 20, 21, 22 [Re-Vulcan] and 23. 24 Takes a few hits from the team due to the Wind Rangers being off 0 CD on their cursed arrows by this point.
We’ve gotten to the point now where we can complete Spire NM in about 8 min.
Nice strategy but only for overpowered team. Spire NM can be passed with ~1-1.2 million attack team. But this team must have at least 1 oracle for heal eudaemons on 20+ lvl bosses and fire/electro sylphs, because 15 boss buff will last till 18 lvl maximum.
… and fastest Spire strategy is AFK offline when you go to sleep 🙂
No one care no one will get strong like you we don’t spend like you thanks but stupid waste of fucking time
Not many can do this…YET.
Remember how Wartune works, they introduce a new system that only supports heavy cashers, then later on they add a chance for free players to use it, then they make it very easy to get into.
Resistance Crystals, Sylphs, Eudeamons, all follow the same pattern. And with the next major system they add, whatever it is, will probably make Spire NM easier to get through.
Failing that…have some friends with high-BRs that will help you with it.
One of the players in this group is a very low cash player, and usually I run with a much weaker team. Yes, it’s considerably faster and easier with a high power team, but a group of very active no-to-low cash toons can use this strategy and get very far in spire NM. Regardless of whether or not you cash, it will make things more pleasant.
The problem with some non or low cashers is their wind rangers may not be strong enough to survive to level 15.
I have not tried this method yet, usually just afk it but will try this when I get the chance. I am about 5.8 mil BR and my ranger about 2.8 mil
Just emailed you a screenshot and some other tips, to include a final kill shot of over 146 million in 1 hit.
