Changyou sells 7Road (Wartune) for $200 million

Hey guys, some news from Changyou (who owns 7Road, the developer of Wartune). Changyou decided to focus on mobile games so they announced:

Changyou announced that it would be selling some of its internal studios, notably Wartune developer 7Road, a browser game specialist, for up to $200 million.

Good news for Wartune? Bad news?

I know some people will go into panic mode and start shouting that it is the end of the world, but honestly, company sales happen all the time and it really only depends on who will buy it and what their vision is, as some companies are awesome and others are less awesome.

There are 3 possibilities moving forward:

They don’t find a buyer and just continue running the game (as they are making profit from it anyways, it is not a loss maker)
They find a good buyer who makes Wartune even more awesome
They find a buyer who destroys the game

Honestly, the powers that be of wartune, haven’t cared about the quality of gameplay, or any sort of problem resolution. They have ignored easy lag fixes within the game that would dramatically improve lag/loading. I mean come on, do we always have to load in in the most populated active place in the game? But they make sure their sparkly boxes and latest rip off schemes are lag free… Everytime. I personally have submitted 9 support tickeys in the last 3 weeks from stuff missing, to black screens, to never receiving balens. Other than the techies they pay to just make sure the game is ‘working’, 7roads sees $$ coming in, so as long as the $$ is worth them not realky doing anything for it, they wont sell it. And God help whoever buys it..lol They’ll have years of dedicated players up their arses to undo the way 7roads has made wartune FUBAR. Seems like a trend though… This wouldnt be my only game that got sold and ruined this summer. =/

wir wollen auch etwas besseres als das was im moment abgeht ist nicht mehr spielbar. denn aufgrund dessen das koramgame nur abkassieren will sind bei uns die leute verärgert und nicht mehr die lust am spiel haben was genau sollte verändert werden glaubt ja nicht ihr seit die einzigen bei watune die genervt seit. wir alle in deutschland und umgebung wollen mehr möglichkeiten. ein spiel das so viel potential hat aber nicht ausgereizt ist oder besser gesagt nur ums geld machen ist, ist für den arsch.
