Battle Blessing Analysis in Wartune Bounty Targets

Hey guys, I want to share with you a small interesting analysis on the Battle Blessing (activated skill) in the Bounty Targets in Wartune. Battle Blessing: increases damage for the entire party by 10%, lasts 2 turns, stackable for 5 layers.

Should you use Battle Blessing or not?

People might be just pressing this skill without thinking twice about it, but do you do more damage with it or you actually do less because you waste 1 attack turn by the casting Eudaemon? This is what i want to help you answer and to do this we are going to look into 2 scenarios:

Battle Blessing analysis Wartune

Scenario 1: All 4 Eudaemon / Kids are roughly equal in strength:

In this scenario we are going to assume that you have 4 Eudaemons / kids of similar strength, so they do 100k damage each (does not matter what damage you assume, 100k, 200k, 500k – it only matters that the numbers are the same). And in the top lines called “Damage without activation” you basically do nothing and let them all attack, so each will do 100k making a total damage output of 400k.

Next we look what happens if we use one of these kids to case Battle Blessing, which gives 10% increased damage and is stackable up to 5 times but lasts only 2 turns. In this case, if you look on the table below, you can see that if one of them loses his turn to cast Battle Blessing then the party damage output will be only 330,000 (1st block in the table). Even on the 3rd casting which then gives +30% damage increase the party output will still be below 400k – it will be 390k.

So this means that if you have 4 kids of relatively equal strength you are better off not using Battle Blessing at all and just letting them attack.

Kid 1 Kid 2 Kid 3 Kid 4 TOTAL DAMAGE
Damage without activation 100,000 100,000 100,000 100,000 400,000
Damage with Battle Blessing casting 1 110,000 110,000 110,000 330,000
Damage without activation 100,000 100,000 100,000 100,000 400,000
Damage with Battle Blessing casting 2 120,000 120,000 120,000 360,000
Damage without activation 100,000 100,000 100,000 100,000 400,000
Damage with Battle Blessing casting 3 130,000 130,000 130,000 390,000

Scenario 2: 1 weak Eudaemon / kid, 2 medium and 1 strong:

Now let’s look at another scenario where you have:

  • 1 weak Eudaemon
  • 2 medium
  • 1 – your main – strongest Eudaemon

Then we have a different situation:

Here, in “Damage without activation” or “doing nothing” you will dish out, using our example numbers, 450k damage. However, if you use the weakest Eudaemon / kid to activate Battle Blessing then, although in the 1st turn you will do a bit less damage than “doing nothing”, in the 2+ turns you will actually start to do more damage.

  • Turn 1: 450k vs. 440k
  • Turn 2: 450k vs. 480k – already good
  • Turn 3: 450k vs. 520k – even better

So this means that if your kids are not at similar strength but are varied from weak to very strong then you are definitely better off using the Battle Blessing.

Kid 1 Kid 2 Kid 3 Kid 4 TOTAL
weakest medium medium strongest DAMAGE
Damage without activation 50,000 100,000 100,000 200,000 450,000
Damage with Battle Blessing casting 1 110,000 110,000 220,000 440,000
Damage without activation 50,000 100,000 100,000 200,000 450,000
Damage with Battle Blessing casting 2 120,000 120,000 240,000 480,000
Damage without activation 50,000 100,000 100,000 200,000 450,000
Damage with Battle Blessing casting 3 130,000 130,000 260,000 520,000

Other points to consider

  • If you lag a lot, you are probably better off not using Battle Blessing.
  • If you do not lag you might be able to cast it a bit faster making the 2nd Scenario even more interesting.
  • Other skills take priority: such as single or group healing or PDEF / MDEF immunity to survive are always more important to consider than 10% damage increase.
  • If there is 1 mob left with little life it is better to let your kid finish him off than cast Battle Blessing (unless in a rare case when you are trying to stall for time).

  1. Cosmos, good article, but I think you overcomplicate this a bit. Personally, I use battle blessing with my weakest eudaemon vs bosses lvl 81-83, while my 3 strongest eudaemons are finishing off the trash mobs. Not because the eudaemon would deal less dmg otherwise, but simply because the bosses at these levels must be killed asap, so it is important I start the boss battle with max buff. During the boss fight itself, and vs lower level bosses, I do not use this skill.

    • hey buddy i am not sure if you fully understood this article – this analysis says that even against a boss if your party is of similar strength you should NOT use that skill in order to do more damage, but in your case as you have 1 weaker kid then as also the analysis shows is in that case you should use

  2. scenario B only applies if u have a eddy that has no skillz and is just there for u to have a full team, imo.

Before the 5.0 patch i used to spam this but now u cant have an eddy tank anymore so ur too busy keeping em alive.

Ironically ur saying since noone has 4 equal eddies we should all use the skill to boost our dmg. My personal opinion is I disagree

Also if u use this technique and u have no lag u can spam 2 skillz each round. dont get why u would choose the 1? more interesting to see which 2 combo is better, heal+ dmg or armour + dmg or armour + heal. But than again that relies on the enemy and ur own strength i guess.
